Volkswagen is working on an Arteon 'shooting brake' model, according to a new report from Germany's Auto Motor und Sport.

The report alleges that VW will expand the Arteon range with a wagon-shaped shooting brake model, which will offer additional cargo space and more headroom for back seat passengers. It's not clear if the Arteon shooting brake would arrive in North America, although it seems highly unlikely given North American consumers' general disinterest in wagons.

Kinda like this, but good.
Auto Motor und Sport also claims the Arteon shooting brake could be offered with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that will be badged VR6. A version of this twin-turbo six will also allegedly be found in the next-generation Golf R and the forthcoming Arteon R, the German publication claims. A twin-turbo V6 Golf? What a time to be alive.

Look for the VW Arteon shooting brake to debut sometime later this year or in early 2020.
