Not sure if this was posted, but a small article was tucked into yesterday's WSJ talking about how bad it's getting here for VW. Simply put, they lose $ on every car they are selling here and after meeting with their US dealers, some hefty price cuts on the Jetta is in the works.
However, the most mind-boggling part was at the end:
"It recently sent a team of 23 workers to California to study consumer trends and American automotive culture and to analyze American comanies known for good customer service such as Nike, Inc. and Starbucks Corp."
Are we sure GM doesn't secretly run VW? What the hell do they need to study? They could save a lot of time by LISTENING TO YOUR OWN CUSTOMERS. What don't I understand here?
