That would be almost comical...

What about the Airbus A320 at the Paris Air Show???? Huh?? It's European made, so it must be better than anything out there. It Crashed because the computer overrode the Pilots commands! Now would you want your airliner doing that when the pilot trying to fly the airplane?!
And BTW, the reason the Boeing cockpit (not cocpit

) failed during flight (assuming you are talking about the Aloha airlines flight), was not due to engineering flaws, but to poor maintenence and lack of proper inspections! The metal was fatigued and should have been tended too. Too many hours on an airframe will do this. Thus, it failed and people died.

I've flown both Airbus and Boeings... In comparison to cars, Airbus is like a Toyota Camry, Boeing is like an M3.

They bought TWA, which is based here in STL, swearing they wouldn't lay anyone off, wouldn't do anything bad. Here we are, several years later, they've fired all the flight attendants, fired most of the pilots if not all of them, are killing service, and now they're threatening to yank the hub that's been here for decades and in fact is part of the reason the local airport (KSTL) is being expanded. Not only that but they're not telling anybody that their much-pushed "more legroom" ad campaign is a joke -- they're sticking the seats back into the planes. Despite the fact that people are getting blood clots in their legs from the cramped conditions. (I know someone whose uncle died this way.)
I hate them. I don't know how their execs can sleep at night.
But cute car.

Oh please... TWA killed themselves a long time ago... AA just provided most of the employees with an extra 2 years pay. Remember AA bought TWA pre 9-11, in a very different market.

They also lied to the people whose jobs they took over. They had responsibilities and they failed to fulfill them. I know I'm actively avoiding American because of what they did -- I'm a native of St. Louis and while I know of more interesting places to live, it's still an insult -- I could have flown on American on a trip a year ago and didn't. They're even under investigation by members of Congress for preferentially firing St. Louis people before anyone else -- they're not bothering to hide what they're doing, they're firing pilots and crew with far more experience than the ones they're keeping, and they refused, to a member of Congress, to try to fix the problem and make it right.

I'd like to see the president and upper execs of American apologize for what they are doing and have done to this city, but in their sick and twisted minds they think it's OK to lie, then turn around and screw people who have been in this field far longer than those they're still paying.
