VW appears to have country-specific warranties on cars sold in North America - US differs from Canada. I am in the US and was looking to buy a used 2018-2019 VW to take advantage of the 6-year warranty offered by VWoA during those model years. Models sold in Canada appear to have a less favorable warranty (4-year?).
My search revealed some dealerships that are selling used vehicles in the US that were bought on auction, but originally sourced from Canada dealers. I assume these are considered as vehicles manufactured for the CA market.
I plan to contact VWoA for more info, but has anyone has been in this situation? If so, which warranty is considered valid from a VW of America standpoint? Do they honor the US or CA one for any future warranty claims?
