I did the ghetto epoxy fix on my cracked coil pack at about 20k, now at 40k it's goin bad again (poor fuel economy, rough idle/misfire in humid weather, etc.). Has anyone with the epoxy fix sucessfully convinced VWoA to replace it through the current vw coil replacement fiasco (see the golf/jetta IV forum)?

I had EXACTLY ZERO sympathy/understanding/aknowledgement from VWOA regarding CRAPPY CRAPPY CRAPPY VR6 coil-packs. Just invest in JBWELD and be happy ...

You ought to just buy the new one. Euro Car Service in Massillon Ohio has them listed on their intenet specials page linked below for 149.95. That's a whole lot better than the $342.00 from my parts guy. I have one of these Beru coilpacks from ECStuning and it was good quality stuff. http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/internetspecials.html

the main problem is the Volswagen uses Beru. Beru is not up to the task of making quality products.

They replaced 2 of mine...one of them was epoxied...haha...
