How many miles?
Accidents?
Overall shape of the car?
Don't forget it is a 4 year old car.
You could always ask them for a lil more on the trade. The worst they can do is say no, but if your looking to get 12g's for your car, that's not gonna happen.

Why change from a 2000 Jetta to a 2004 Jetta? They aren't that different.
If you really do want to make that change, have you tried selling the old car yourself?

1.9 x 60m which is 279 a month

Why would the car cost you less in 36 months with .9% APR than 1.9% for 60 months? The APR doesn't account for that much difference.

The Poortex isn't the best place to sell a car. I sold my GLI on autotrader, first person to look at it bought it. You can get an online ad for like $20, run 'til it sells. I considered trading it it, would've gotten ~16k, sold it private party for $18,100.
Best of luck http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

you will also save on the taxes on the $9800 too, so depending on what that it, it could be another thousand or so dollars.

http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif Bingo. This is how the dealer goes about making you feel better about your trade.

Sounds about right, I had a 01 GLS VR6 that I traded in for 10.5k. Mine had been in an accident though which dropped its value.
