Want to do euro tails, where do I get the parts?

I would like to do the euro tail lights on my rabbit. Where can I get the tail lights and the section of metal that needs to be welded in to hold the lights? Also, does the wiring need to be changed or will it plug right in?

Well, I would like to fit the smallest ones possible (clear or redgular tails). But I heard that you need to cut out the whole area that holds the lights and weld in a new one.
You tell me what I need

The smallest tails possible would be the one's from the early Rabbits that we had here, '80 and down and from all years of Cabbys that we got here.
They look like the ones in the top picture in Cullen's post.

Ok, that is what I want. What do I need, asides from the tail lights, to install them in my 84 rabbit? What bodywork is required?

Some german rabbits came with a blackk plastic pieces that go between the little tail lights and you cann use this on US cars

I have heard of people doing what aginghare described above. I think cabrio_boy here has done it to his Rabbit.

you only need to weld two metal plates i think, one on each side
and euro golf1 lights are way nicer than the small ones
well anything is nicer than those 3-footers we got in north-america
