Not true man, all Mk6 golf r bottom grille come with sensors regardless at least in the USA. I used to work for Audi which also housed a VW dealer..I bought straight from dealer and they all come with parking sensors..there was no other option.

NOW they do, but that wasn't always the case. If you look up the suppression history for 5K0853677M 041 (the non PDC version) ETKA, it will say when it was made obsolete. The corporate parts people try to reduce the number of redundant parts, and if they have one that will work for multiple, they will drop the variants once stock is depleted.
