do you guys know if it will void my warranty if i have my car serviced at a local shop instead of the dealership for just regular maintance? i trust my local shop more than i do the dealer, but if it's going to void my warranty i'll just take it to the dealer.

No it won't, but you should keep records of regular maintenence in the event that you have a problem and need to go to the dealer for warranty work. Because they did not perform the work, they do not have record. Be organized and keep records and you will be fine.

I'm doing all the work myself. I'm just keeping all the receipts for the synthetic and filter in case I need any warantee work done and they question it.
