Re: wat to pick when it comes to chips? (Hater)

GIAC. Most agree it's the best out there. And when you upgrade your car like with cams&exhaust, you can have the chip easily reprogrammed for $20 to take advantage of the new gofast stuff http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I have Autothority's chip...well, had(had to buy a new one for the right year of my car) but in my old VR6 it was sweet! I hear Garret is good too....but I wouldn't know.

Re: wat to pick when it comes to chips? (15degree_V)

from all the reading i did on the forums(s), i decided to go with a GIAC. it seems to be a brand with a good following, and many satisfied customers. in fact, i just received and installed it today. i can't really comment on the results in the long haul, but everything is ok so far.
prices for all brands seem to be similar (unless you come across a killer deal on a used one....though this is an item that i feel is worth buying new).
it seems like GIAC, TT, and Autothority come up the most often.

hmm, I'm not sorry I went with Autothority. I might buy a GIAC someday to dyno both of them. I think it'll be pretty even on the dyno
