It's the story of a man and his car. But not just any car. This was VW Beetle number 20. Built in 1941. It's a story of the car's journey and then a decades-long effort to restore the car to the way it was when it rolled out of the factory.

The car is a piece of history. The owner calls it the oldest restored mass-production model. It's amazing how a car that was made in such quantity and that we've all seen so many times can still look so stunning.

Watch the video for a brief summary of the car and the effort. But if you want the full story, then you'll want the book. About the KdF Typ 60L from 1941. Oh, and don't forget to click subtitles on the video.
