??Water Injection Who's running it??

781 Views 9 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  mainecorrado
i plan on getting an aquamist water injection system for my g60 Corrado. has any one had experince with this system on a g60 super charged motor? it uses a pressuere sensor to activate the system and mist water in the intake at high prssure like a fuel injector but with water. the evaporating water cools the engine and makes it possable to run more boost with out making the fuel air mix overly rich. i think this will keep things cool on those hot summer days when the car feels real sluggish. Also I want to install a Group A spec headgasket to raise the compression ratio~8.8/1?? so I will not have to run very high boost. any feedback will be helpfull. thanks

alls I can say is too much water equals big problems. Its a good idea if you know what you are doing and do it right the first time.

I have the aquamist kit and I will be fitting it once my engine is run in. I am going to fit a .6 jet just before the throttle to cool the cylinder ,using 95ron fuel I should be able to advance about 5deg safely. for more go to http://www.aquamist.co.uk

Remeber to use destilled water (preferably mixed with methanol).

Where would I get info on such a company or kit?
Re: ??Water Injection Who's running it?? (G60NUT)

Just BE CAREFUL. Our intake air temps don't get nearly as hot as many of the turbo applications for which these water injection kits were originally designed, so make sure you start SMALL or you will blow your motor sky high.
If water gets into your motor in liquid form, it will greatly increase your CR and you'll pop. Goodnight motor. It could be like going from 8:1 @ 15 psi to 18:1 @ 15psi in a split second.

Well it looks like the kit will cost around $500 bucks so I think this will not be for me cause Im on a budget. Soo maybe a dry 50 shot of NO2 is what I need

a nitrous kit will cost you the same amount of money to get setup, just a thought.
