WE Owners - are you getting steel wheels w/snow tires?

I know the bbs wheels are something special in the WE package and was wondering what some of you (even non-WE owners w/aftermarket wheels) are doing for winter. Will snow and salt ruin these wheels? Should I just get a set of 4 steel wheels (w/ some ugly cap http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif ) and winter tires?
Thanks for the input,
Mike

I am still debating it...
I don' want to spend the $$$ on snows. I live in Toronto, the plowing is not too bad....have survived with all seasons with a stick for a few years now...
As for the rims, we have to assume that they can take a little salt without disolving. If you clean 'em consistantly you should OK, any other thoughts?

Keeping stock wheels with Bad Years for winter and going with BBS CH or SSR or HRE wheels in R18 with Bridgestone Potenza S03 tires as soon as Winter passes and last snow melts...

Cleaning hmm. It's already work getting brake dust on em now to worry about them more everyother day with the salt and crud.. I'm starting to really want some cruddy wheels now with blizzaks for winter just so it won't be such a PITA.
But where should I be able to get 15" steel wheels real cheap? Tirerack.com has em at $35 (about) each. Is that good or can I find them cheaper somewhere else. Nice thing about them though is that you can go and get the whole package wheels and tires from them.. anyone else with ideas?

Nope.
Keeping my BBS for winter use. I'm getting some snow tread after the goodyears go.
I'm thinking about picking up a set of RH cuprad's (phatty deep-dish) for summer use, or just keeping it stock cause I want to make my dub full euro-spec, and the BBS were an option pkg.
But for this year, no.

I'm keeping the BBS's on as well for the winter. I figured if I clean them as I normally do anyways, I should be alright. Plus since its been abnormally 65 degrees for most of this month, I'm hoping this winter won't be that bad on Long Island.

Mine were fine all last winter (New England winter December onwards), and will be relegated to permanent winter use next year as I'm anticiapting upgrading spring 2002 to Borbets.
