Hey All, amateur meteorologist/storm watcher here.

Looking at the long range models (NAM&GFS) and the trusty farmers almanac we will be playing a balancing act between two pressure systems, one will bring us tropical storms, the other will bring us beautiful sunny and warm days.

As it looks for the moment, the sunny and warm high pressure system is winning and will push the tropical storms off until late May.

Temperature: We will be looking at the Mid-High 70's with 90+% humidity.

Rainfall: 40% (NOTE THIS COULD & WILL CHANGE)

Winds: 3-6mph

I will try and update this weekly and as the weekend comes closer daily.

If anyone else would like to add any info, feel free.

[UPDATE 4/21]: Well, some bad news folks - Looks like we are in for some warm temps (high 70's) but so far it's looking like this;

Fri: Mostly Cloudy 30% rain

Sat: Complete cloud cover - 70% chance of Steady rain all day into the afternoon

Sun: Cloudy, 60% chance of rain some thunderstorms possible

[UPDATE 5/5]: GOOD NEWS! What a difference a week can make!!!

Fri: SUNNY Highs in the upper 70's - 30% chance of rain.

Sat: SUNNY - NO RAIN - 75f+

Sun: SUNNY - NO RAIN - 75f+

WOOOOO!!!!

[UPDATE 5/8] OK...Well we have a Sub-trpoical storm Ana off the east coast IMAGE

"This system is expected to remain across the Carolinas with showers staying to the east of Georgia,"
However, if the track shifts and it heads far enough inland, it could bring showers and clouds to northern Georgia.

So at the moment we are at the mercy of this weather system.

Currently looking like this;

Fri: Cloudy/Sun Highs in the upper 70's - 30% chance of rain. 50% at night

Sat: Sun/Possible thunderstorms - 20% Rain - 75f+

Sun: Sun/Some clouds - 80f+

Finger crossed folks, see you all there!!!

[UPDATE 5/11] All optimism aside...we are getting wet.

Fri: Cloudy/Chance of rain 30% Upper 70's

Sat: Thunderstorms 70% chance of rain by 2pm

Sun: Thunderstorms 75% chance of rain by 2pm

This will conclude my updates for SOWO as it is close enough to trust the weather websites!

I would advise using Intellicast as they seem to have the most accurate forecasts.

See you there - Bring a poncho!
