Alright, I don't know if I'm ever going to do one (seeing that I may not have that much time soon), but if I were to do a website I'd like to know what I could do one on:
1) a grand classic American car archive
2) a Chrysler archive (seeing I'm a Chrysler buff)
3) an Australian car industry archive
4) a page dedicated to 60s Mopars
5) a page on British luxury cars (Rovers, Humbers, Daimlers and the like)
6) a page on some of my favourite Mercs
7) a "readers' rides" thingy related to any of the above
Anyone have suggestions?

Web site nothing, you David could write entire books on the above subjects with full color photos included of course

You mentioned that you "may not have that much time soon"
Plans on starting those books soon?

how about all of the above. Start out with a history and archive of the Australian motoring industry since that's where the demand is. Then expand to the British/French luxury car realm. Finally, start working on Americans. I say to do this last since there are already quite a number of sites where you can find all things american.
I maintain that you should just write a book about global automotive history. start by doing it off the top of your head and with the materials you have readily accessible, and then fill in the blanks with real research.

Yeah but as I said, my site could be mainly an archival thing with my (biased of course
) comments...
After all, maybe one can do a concise book on Australia's automotive ups and downs through time, which would cover the ups and downs of GM, the rise and fall of Chrysler, and BMC's spectacular failure in its attempt to compete at that level.
