Here are some pics of some Speedglass scratchproof Lexan and my Fiberglass hatch on my 16V Rabbit so far, Made a big difference going this route.

Are you making the Quarter panel windows. If so how much?
I saw a shop that had them in a VR6 A2 but they wouldn't answer my emails.

Im curious as to how much this stuff costs compared to auto glass. Is it custom done, or are there companies that do it. In reguards to the fiber hatch and the glass...

How much does it weigh? I'm building a A2 Vr6 and my goal is 2250. I think I can make it. It's just a matter of sacrifice

Getting rid of the factory sunroof would save you about 70 or 80 lbs(if you take out the roof reinforcements),Heavy stock seat(s),adjustable mirrors,a/c-heater box,and there's about 50lbs of sound deadener under the stock carpet(yeah,I was suprised to find THAT,as loud as rabbits are) Is this thing gonna be a track car,or do you street it once in a while??

I got the hatch from Perfect choice motorsports. http://www.perfectchoicemotorsports.com as for the Quarter windows.. I would consider making a pair I just need a mk2 to get a template out of. That is something that I may develop and sell if I get enough enquiries. My car is the 1st VW to use the SpeedGlass product so I'll have to see how the first run works. I am not 100% happy with the fit on the 1/4 window so I am going to make another one.
All the SpeedGlass I have is raw material if you had a Honda or something more popular they would have pre-made windows.
As for the cost..I left the price sheet at the office I will have that info on Monday or you can check out http://www.percyshp.com
My car weighed just under 2000lbs before I went this route, I also cut the tire well out. My goal is 2100 lbs with me in the car so considering that I weigh 220lbs everything should work out. I would rather add ballast then to be too heavy, plus I have no cage yet and I figure that will add 100lbs.
