Put helium in your tires and put the driver on a diet...

Just kidding, have a great week.

Well, when you run out of the big stuff, you can take out the rear wiper and it's motor from the hatch. I did that tonight, due to the fact that I never use it, looks kinda clean too. But, it was like 10 lbs or so.

Re: Weight Reduction??? (zanevr6)

It gets pretty loud. Actually it is pretty loud. I went ahead and took my radio out for now. Have gauges there anyway. I went through that whole car. Pulled the deadning and insulation from behind the dash, all through the car. No seat belt motor or tracks, no radio, fiberglass hood, no seats, no speakers, no radio, carbon dash, carbon knee bolsters, drilled out front bumper support, battery relocated (i know, it's weight dist.) no spoiler motor (that because i'm painting it though), or rear wiper/motor, Corbeau seats (they weigh only 12lbs), no door cards or rear panels, Kosei wheels (they're only 14lbs), lightened and balanced fly wheel, no wiper resivor, that's all i can remember off the top of my head. Driving to work i'll think of the rest.
Still gonna be dropping more weight though. Just looking at more weight distribution now. A lot of carbon stuff, but carbon in the right places.

Lexan is loud! In other words the wind really kicks it around. That's why you see the braces in race cars. It pit's and you can't wash it clean like glass. It's basically plastic. Your best bet is to talk to some glass companies that custom make glass and get something thinner. It will still be the saftey glass just thinner. That's one they have cut the weight on the Corvette and the Porsche. You'ld be suprised.
