I recently picked up a leftover 2022 Arteon two weeks ago. Got a good deal and am loving the car.
But I can’t help but notice an odd DSG behavior on the 3rd-4th gear shift. I’m coming from a 2019 GLI so I’m familiar with the DSG, but this feels different. It’s almost as though the transmission is shifting too early, as I feel the car buck a bit before the tach drops. It only does it going from 3rd-4th gear. I’m thinking of asking to get the DSG reflashed when I take it in for inspection shortly. Anyone else experience this?

I don't have an Arteon but I do have two dsg cars; I tried the dsg 'reset' recently on my tiguan. Most of the instructions online were for a car with an actual keyed ignition but I turned car on by pressing the on button with no brake then you hold the gas pedal to the floor until you hear a little click or mechanical noise then release and start as normal. I forget the actual/precise steps just google it.

I'm curious if it will work for you. I haven't done to my beetle as my wife drives that mostly. Supposedly this drops some 'learned' shift patterns and goes back to baseline. I must say my cpo tiguan seemed like whoever drove it before acted like there was an egg under the gas pedal now it'll rev a little longer before shifting.

has anyone else heard of this technique? I know OP got car as leftover from lot so maybe no previous owner or 'learned' shift patterns. Perhaps it's all smoke and mirrors but a lot of people online have confirmed it to work.

That doesn’t sound normal and my ‘23 definitely does not do that.
