My 99 1.8T Passat w/ manual transmission has a strange problem. I set the parking brake the other day and when I came out and started the car next time and released the parking brake, the Brake light on the dash stayed on, although dimmer. The manual says this indicates low brake fluid in reservoir, so I topped off. The BRAKE light still stayed on. And I then noticed that the turn-signal directionals, low beam headlights, windshield wiper, and heater blower were not functioning. The 4-way flasher, high beams when pulling on the"stalk" on column, and all other lights and accessories still work. All fuses are OK. Any ideas on what this problem might be? A RELAY? Or some other "master" fuse? Any help will be appreciated.
