My car hasn't been running in a while. i recharged my battery last weekend. I started my car today, it started. shut it off, and then it wouldn't start and i had a weird noise coming out of it...no clue what the problem is. anyone know what it is? i have a G60 corrado.

sounds like the abs pump. It should be just below the coolant tank, it's normal for it to whine a bit.

Only thing is, i don't think i have ABS..... Also, my car still does not start.

Alernators are known for whining when they go bad, which wuld also account for why you can't start the car.

Its not the alternator. It seems to be coming from the area directly behind the fan on the radiator. Oil pump? or is it something else. Or do i actually have ABS?

is the ignition on when you hear it? it could be the idle stabilizer valve (isv) if the ignitions on and thats what your hearing. listen for it, its right on top of the engine right next to where you pour the oil

the car doesn't even turn over. the humming noise is on when the car is off. My charger blew up. i don't know if something with the oil is messed up, or if its something else. if i can't figure out whats wrong with it, i'm just gonna end up towing it to a garage.

Try the secondary electric water pump next to the motor on the driver side. It looks like a large D cell with a wire going to the top of it.

Could also be that your coolant fan switch is gone causing your rad fan to run constantly

Fixed the problem today. Turns out that the intercooler pipe was pushing some wires against the starter. Somehow it allowed the current into the starter. weird huh? couldn't find any tears in the insulation either.... Really Weird....

Put some 4 guage battery cables and let it rip boyee.
