Weitec GT vs. H&R Cup vs. H&R sports/Bilstein Sports.

Which one provides the most comfort and best appearance??
I don't autocross and already ordered a body kit, so this is mostly for looks. I don't want to scratch up and crack my kit so i don't want to be slammed, just dropped. I do get some rought roads when i go down to Baltimore, so smoothness is important.

I have the Weitec GT 40 MM kit. I am really happy with the ride comfort, although there could be some more stiffness in the steering. I am personally going to be getting rid of mine next spring. I want something lower.

h&r cup kits have problems with struts bending. http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif
bilstein sports with h&r sports might be your best best http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Why didn't you go with the 60mm kit?

I disagree - I think the ride quality is crap on mine. Go for the Bilstein/H&R combo - Bilstein makes shocks, H&R makes springs...
and for that combo you are looking on the order of $600-$650 I think...

I dont know much about the Weitec GT but after researchin the H&R cupkit ppl say struts bend or sumthin like that, some blame it on the people that installed the suspension, others say that H&R should just stick to making springs.
Ive heard nothing but good things about the H&R/Bilstein sports combo n its what i plan to go with after i decide on my wheels, the price comes to $665 on parts4vw ... http://www.parts4vws.com/catalog/index.asp

if your looking for smoothness i'd say either bisteins and H&Rs or the H&R cup kit. My weitec kit road a bit on the rougher side.

I just had my H&R Cup Kit installed to day and there great. I have a 2003 GLI. Ride changed barely but the car doesnt raise up anymore in the nose when I floor it. The car stays planted and launches better. Plus gave me a nice drop. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I have Weitec 40mm. They could be lower.....
. I dont hate them.
You can prolly fit 19"s. In the pic I had them put on like 2 weeks prior.
It did come down a little....but nothing dramatic. Im overall satisfied, but if you have the loot Im sure you wont be disappointed with the others. Try to get ahold some local dubbers. Im sure someone has one of the kits listed and would take you for a ride. Mine is the most "affordable"(cheap) and its fine for my driving conditions. I would hope there are some benifits for spending another $300 on the others. I hope it helps.
