Went to get car serviced, washed car today and noticed a chip, and gash on rear bumper!

haven't examined it yesterday, but i called the dealer and he said bring it in friday when the service manager is going to be there, anyway how can i prove they did this? i mean i haven't hit anything, unless somebody hit me

while i was at school but it's impossible because there was no parking behind me, what can i do, anyone have similar experiences?

once you drove it away, there's not much that can be done, unfortunately.

dealers are notorious for fookin up people's cars.

i just went there to see why my right headlight was not as bright as the other one and to change the mirror glass, i mean how am i to expect that they were not careful, i've taken it there a lot and nothing ever happened?

well they dented my car while I was getting an oil change, so i'm not shocked. I didn't leave the lot though, so I showed it to the service manager immediately, and they covered it 100% and got me a rental car.

dealerships just plain stink. heres the deal. most dealerships techs work on whats called flat rate. meaning that every maintenance has a set time limit the techs get paid for doing the job. some jobs pay for 3 hrs but can be done in 2. my point is that techs rush through jobs all day so that even if they work an 8 hr day they get paid for more hrs. believe me when i say that the quality of the maintenance you receive comes second to the speed at which they try to accomplish it. my best friend was an audi tech for 3 yrs and currently he works for bmw. i know the way dealers work and believe me if more people had an inside view of what goes on and have heard some of the horror stories ive heard of how customers cars are treated, less people would have such great trust in these supposed proffesionals. to me it is totaly concievable that your dealership scratched your bumper. wheather or not they'll admit it is the question.
