Hey kiddies, thought I would give you all a heads up. We are planning to revive the ND Scirocco cruise this year.
Here is the plan as it stands right now.
We leave from the truck weigh station just before tacoma, past federal way. We should plan on meeting there at 2am, departing no later than 3am. We will be meeting up with another group of cars later in the morning round Grants Pass. We hope to be in the hotel by 5 or 6 friday night. It depends on our pace and who is getting the worst gas milage which will most likely be me this year.
For those of you who are for sure attending or seriously thinking about it, I urge you to make your reservations now. Rooms are filling up very quickly at the host hotel.

You can find show details here http://www.charityautoshows.co....html
Hotel info is here

We can always use some more PNW folks and canucks on the cruise...

erm guys, I think (based on the subject title and the contents) that he is referring to a drive to the New Dimensions Charity Car Show, which happens every year in May down in California near San Fransisco.

I don't know what my plans are yet, Shannon. Not even sure if I'll bring my rocco down yet... I'll be at the show, though.

Hmmm good times. It seems that Andre has been parting the green machine out to keep the brown thing running. So I dont think that one is gonna make it. LOL
Hopefully I will be roccin the '76 down there. But worst case scenario it will be the rabbit again.
Or maybe the turbo Vanagon

Or maybe the Corrado.
Or maybe.........
Hmm decisions, decisions.

Re: West Coast ND Caravan (Rabbit 16v)

Well tenativly the plan is the same as the last 3 or 4 years we have gone.
We usually meet Friday morning round 2am just north of Tacoma and crush out from there. Historically we get into the hotel round 4-7pm that night. Everyones welcome, we usually have a pretty good cross section of cars. We all get along pretty good and after the first 4 hours or so most people settle into a consistant grouping pace wise.
It will differ possibly on the trip back this year as I plan on taking a more leisurly pace back and bomb up 101 along the coast to give the hairdryer a shakedown run. Your all welcome to join me but I know some folks just like to head out right after the show.
Well Id like to see just what Andre is missing off the green car to get it back on the road. Im sure we could all scavange the parts up. Heck, I know we could probably find a 1.8 block for him.

That's what I was thinking!
BTW the trip down to ND can be done in 13 hours from Vancouver, BC. Including a pitstop just shy of the Oregon border to sign paperwork with a State Patrolman.

Re: West Coast ND Caravan (Star Child)

Well it can be made in 13 hours from the great white north, but if you ever want to be let back into the land of the free......
And I think Lisa was referencing a different Andre, that is unless she was talking about beer and internet porn, then it would be Nogaro.
