wet floors: where is the leak from?

okay well my car has the most discusting sludge underneath the carpet in the rear behind the drivers seat, sadly its got a bit of rust but nothing too bad...anyone know how too solve this problem ? also of note is it only leaks after it rains and not when i wash it but maybe leaks alot less when i wash it who knows?!? thanks
edit: can you guys tell me where all off the drain holes and tube are at so i can check if they are even there?

Search. I know leaks are frustrating but this is perhaps the single best covered topic in this board.

Check the bottom of your door panels. If they are sludgy/swampy, it could be the plastic between the door itself and the panel has come unglued, and water is seeping thru there onto the rear floor.

If it is in the back behind the driver seat, then this is the only logical problem... If it were the front you'd have another three options to choose from... sunroof, front windshield, or cloggeed hood tray drain
