What are my options in replacing the side molding?

On a 96' 4 door golf. Mine are getting scratched and a couple places have been glued back on. I don't want to get the same oem that i have or euro but I thought I read somewhere about a cleaner molding that came on early A3's that will clip into your doors. If anyone can verify this and tell me where I could get it I'd appreciate it. Also if you have any other options I'd love to hear them.
