What are the 1/4 mile times for modified A4 1.8T Quattros?

Got a friend that is curious. . . Was wondering how fast a chipped 1.8T Quattro is running in the 1/4 mile? Please list mods. Thanks.

Audi's aren't drag cars.
I can consistently run a 30 second 1/4 mile without even trying.

Lets say, hypothetically, we wanted to find out how fast it really is? Its a good thing that you actually timed your car even though its not a drag car. Thanks. . I know that the S4 people run it, becauses I've seen their numbers. Yet still, the S4 is an Audi too. So what are the numbers for a 1.8T Quattro?

You can pull sixteen seconds flat with good shifting, and cool air. (This applies to a 2001.5 A4 with the heavy as hell Celebration package 17" wheels and stock tires)

You want to get better 1/4 times for cheap?
Take out all the headrests (3lbs ea). Take out the spare tire and related junk (40lbs?). Dry ice clamped to the intake manifold and intercooler. As little gas as possible in the fuel tank. Turn off the automatic climate control.
Oh, the 16 flat time I gave you is for the 2001.5 which has 170 advertised HP but actually 180hp at the crank. I dunno about a stock 150hp 1.8T.

That said, Audi's really shine in road racing and at the track--not the dragstrip.

Theres an A4, modified of course, around here and he ran a 12sec 1/4 mile. I have to find out who this guy is.

The only problem is that I'd like to keep my clutch in working order for as long as possible. All these starts and AWD will smoke a stock clutch before you know it. Just a heads up! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Not to mention what all the jolts will do to the three Torsen differentials and the halfshafts. I think you could quickly destroy things if you did high RPM launches and ran drag radials on all 4 wheels.

You gotta pay to play my friends. I dont suggest hard launhces all the time though. Just be prepared for the after effects. Prepared meaning lots of $$$$

Yeah, that's true. But for the money, Audi's are pretty crappy drag cars.

Well, my point is that if you want to make a car go fast in the 1/4, there are many better cars out there as far as bang for the buck. Hell, even the WRX.
The order of the cars from left to right is as follows: Audi A4, Porsche 944, Audi A4, ?????
The car looks way too small to be a Corvette.

Edit: My bad, that mystery car is an NSX.
