Just get an OEM clutch. sport clutches arent worth the price unless you plan on racing, or tons of HP. Ive heard about using an 8v clutch and a 16v pressure plate or some kind of whacked combo like that. my .02

Stock 8v Sachs clutch with 8 or 16v pressure plate. Make sure you replace the flywheel seal and tranny input seal. http://www.germanautoparts.com maybe? Mark is usually very decent on prices. Discount Import in Portland is also great to deal with and on price.

Aww. And just in time for Valentines Day, too.
I have a Sachs 210mm 8v clutch and stock 8v PP. Works fine for me, but then again I'm not at the 'strip every weekend. We'll see what happens when I do the motor swap...that is, if I ever stop buying more damn parts and actually DO the swap
Re: what clutch to buy and how much.... tanks (ghostrider)
The price of a 16V PP is less than $10 of that of a stock 8v PP
go for the 16v
also I have been told that the stock sachs turbo diesel disc is a beefier unit. It fits on the 8v tranny too. I got one, i'm gunna give it a try.
tracy @ TRM can hook you up. Actually he was telling be about he stopped stocking 8V PPs, he sells 16v PPs with all his discs
Re: what clutch to buy and how much.... tanks (ghostrider)
BTW, unless you melt the thing by driving on the slipping clutch too much, you probably don't need a new flywheel. Try to find a local place that'll get you one for under $100, then only get it once the car is apart and you see that you need one. Otherwise, save your money. If you're planning to get a LW flywheel of course then do whatever.
And do people actually see clutches priced similar to Potterman's locally? wow. I can't find a clutch superset for under $150 local.
