Re: What clutch to get if going Turbo stage II (BoostedBannana)

VR6 stage II, so that would be under the 350whp range.
Which clutch and where to get.
and I'm also looking for a diff LSD and 256 cams. I think that's going to be a good mix.

For 350 whp or less run the clutchnet 6 puck and a stock pressure plate. The stock pressure plate you can get from www.vwparts.com and the disc you can get from www.clutchnet.com
Go with either a quaife or Peloquin Diff, and stay away from the 256's and run stock cams, the turbo will make plenty power on its own.

I actually run a clutchmasters pressure plate, but the stock plate will hold the power he is planning on making, and this has been proven.

Ok... so why the new disc then? Does it just hold up to more abuse?

6 puck clutchnet http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
I am running the sachs sport pressure plate with it and it works great...
Stock pressure plate will do fine, if you don't want to spend the extra $$$$$$$$$$$$

The stock disc will slip under a lot of power, it is not the clamping force of the plate but i guess the design and material of the stock disc. The clutchnet discs are priced very reasonably and work very well, i know of a lot of high powered vr's running them. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
