Re: WHAT COILS FOR A MK4 WITH PRO-SYSTEM IS THE BEST TO INSTALL (jtreyesg2)
First of all you need to make some sense...........english please.
I have the Eibach Pro-system springs (COILS) with Koni Adjustables (SHOCKS).
Works great much better setup than my Eibach pro-kit springs with matching dampers.
I have owned Tokico on BMW's and always had reliability issues with them. I would stay away from the HP's.
Re: WHAT COILS FOR A MK4 WITH PRO-SYSTEM IS THE BEST TO INSTALL (Maverick99)
Koni adjustables are the way to go. I have bilstein HD on my 03 GTI and Koni adjustables on my 83 gti. The bilsteins are a great strut/shock but come with one valving....like it or pay $$$ to revalve it. With the koni adjustable you can adjust the rebound so they can be softer then the bilsteins or stiffer then the bilstiens with the twist of a knob. I wish i would have put the koni's on my 03 GTI i'd like to go stiffer for auto-X day and softer for putting around town.

Koni adjustables are the way to go.
Why? What if this car was a commuter only? Track car only? Road course vs. auto-x vs. hill climb?
Not possible to recommend "the way to go" based on the original thread. Lemme guess -- you have Koni adjustibles??
