so my car was rattling from what sounded to be the right front. no biggie, jacked it up, looked around. i was tapping the brake rotor to see where the noise was coming from, and i pinpointed it to what the bentley calls the "splash shield". i wiggled it around to reshape it a bit and make it stop rattling. i would make a guess to say i didn't move it more than 1/16". put the wheel back on, etc. etc. roll back off the lift and SCREEEEEEEECH!!!!!!! what did i do wrong? is the shield rubbing against the rotor? i can't tell what it's rubbing against by looking at it. i only drove it 10 feet into my garage, i'm gonna check it out later. any ideas?
