Re: (vwnut18t)

Popped the hood to check some fuses over the weekend after letting the B3 sit unmoved for a few weeks and had a squirrel jump out of the engine bay. Got to pull twigs and sound deadening from the under hood pad for a good long while. Ended up pulling it into the garage to vacuum out the engine bay. And the pad is totally flammable (especially if it's sitting on the exhaust manifold). It's all nice and clean now (and still hiding in the garage).

clear corners, k&n cone, euro switch

thats not a euro switch, that is a factory switch for fogs.
the euro switch has two foglight positions and usually has the rheostat knob
here is one without the rheostat...notice the front and rear fog indicators

Re: (instg8r)

Today I soldered a socket into one of my VR6 ECU's and socketed in the eprom. I installed the ECU and it started for the first time since October. Ran like piss, since its not firing on all 6 cylinders due to a bad coilpack and the moist weather we have been having. But hey it started and idled!
Got an electronic boost controller today from a friend, using a low and high boost setting switchable from inside the car, and using the FMU idea I came up with. It should not only control boost pressure, but control fuel pressure too or the activation of the FMU
Low Boost setting -14psi factory fuel pressure
High Boost setting - 20ish? maybe a hair more, using the FMU

Re: (instg8r)

I will be adding a Short runner, do some exhaust work, Mk4 cams, and pulling the motor for a timing belt/clutch job. It should be daily drivable by mid-may or early June hopefully

i've been in turbo rides with the EBC, its awesome....
did you get any feed back on your FMU idea?
edit: i was just thinking....what about a extra injector controller?
it might be the safest thing....

Re: What did you do to your passat today? (SoCal_GLI)

Well, this wasn't all in one day, but I finished yesterday and finally got around to snapping some pics...
First, custom made DE's. DE Housings with BMW lights in them, mirror finish inners and projectors for outers with clearcorners.

Then this HID kit:

Plus this:

Bulbs:

Relays and ballasts:

Equals:

While I was at it, added crystal clear side markers:

Also added in heater chrome bezel rings and solid chrome door handles all around:

Booty!

This weekend my steel braided fuel lines are going in. After that:
-60/40 coilovers
-new 17 inch rims
-Badlook badgeless grill
-Reiger front bumper
-Tint all rear windows
-Install new custom cluster

I learned that there's 2 fuses for lights. One for the left side of the car and one for the right.

Re: (Quickfry)

Discovered the lovely "I DO WHAT I WANT" mannerism of the intermittent wipers hahaha...I suspect its the relay because i can hear it clicking rather erratically. I also put in my lower dash pockets and rear parcel cover.
