Hey gents. Will be installing the Zex kit on my 2001 VR soon. By that time I will already have the AEM CAI installed. Here's my problem: My car is equiped with a smog pump, so there's an extra hose that fits into the intake piping about 3 inches down from the MAF. I was planning on intalling the n2o fogger about a foot down from the MAF, but some n2o will inevitablly get sucked up by the smog pump. Will this have any adverse affects?

Absolutely incorrect. AT LEAST 6 inches from the throttle body is barely safe. If you don't give the n2o time to diffuse, it will get primarily fired in only 1-2 cylinders, and end up causing massive engine failures. Absolutely incorrect.

If you're talking about crankcase vacuum hose (attached to intake tube between TB and MAF on A3's) then it doesn't suck air in from the intake tube but acutally blows in vapors(and oil
) from crankcase into the intake where it gets burned off in the cylinders. If you're still worried about it you can bypass the hose and plug the hole. I did it and others did it too and no complaints or oil in the TB.

And if you're talking about smog pump(hose attached to top half of airbox on A3's) then it only sucks air in when engine is cold.
