Re: What do you think of this Mk2? (MattTheFatCat)
Looks like it has welded on fender flares. I agree I like orange on MK2's but not that silvery orange. It distracts from the lines hes added to it. I Really like the car overall though. nice hatch spoiler cool exhaust tip too I'm going with a square tip too!
Back on the road in a month I hope (in 2WD form), Rallye boot floor is going in this weekend. tunnel is next weeks job, then it's enginge bay and underside paint time, then I'll have to put it all back together.
I'm still on 4x100 but with redrilled VR6 hubs and outer CV joints on G60 driveshafts.
Rad. That's alot of welding work my friend, hopefully all goes well with the floors. What are you going to do about the exhaust when that center driveshaft gets in the way? (added) What's happening with the 6box when you go syncro?
Glad you went to the M3 clusters. Now all you have to fit is a single 2.5" stainless tailpipe and it would be perfect in my eyes. Not that my opinion should matter anyways
Don't get me wrong your car is sick and AWD that's going to be really cool. I do like the paint much more than T red. The newer pic makes it look like a copper color to me. I hope your going to snap pictures for the syncro install. Dave
When I go Synchro the Quaife diff will have to come out and I'll have to fit a VR6 Synchro bellhousing to the box. That's why it'll stay 2WD for a while yet. I need to get some times (hopefully 13's)
I'm going to use a LHD VR6 Synchro downpipe and the rest of the exhaust is a custom made side exit, I've sold the Speedtech one shown in the pics.
As for install pics, keep your eyes on http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?usernamehatvr6
right now and over the next few weeks.
What is the rims size and ofset that you are running? any spacers or anything special?
