First, please don't flame me because I bring the dreaded "electric supercharger" topic up....also I'm sorry if the topic has been debated to death, but search is down...
But what turbodyne was proposing seemed quite like a good product actually:

I mean ~ 3.5 psi at 6500 rpm on a 2.0l is not too shabby....
it was supposed to consume ~ 150-200 A at 12.5 V, we're talking 2000-2500 W here (for a max of 10 sec), nothing comparable to the 50 W CPU cooler sold on ebay as "supercharger".

And it's comming from a reputable company (garrett)
But it seems that they abandonned the project
, why ?

Re: what happened to the turbopac 1500 ? (ldesbiens)

150-200 A at 12.5 V
Well thats more power than most of our alternators generate.
This would cause horrific load on the alternator (in turn dragging down hp).
Sorry, if you can't find a turbo at the junkyard, don't waste your time and money.

2psi? whats the point??? Step up to the plate and at least run some double digit boost rates..
