Its a Lotech C1000
The manufacturers of the Lotec C1000 are Lotec and… Mercedes! The German carmanufacturer has put it's technology, like the engine, in the Lotec C1000.
That engine is a V8, turbocharged by Mercedes. It drives the rear wheels. The displacement of the engine is 5500 cc. The transmission is 5-speed manual. The power of the engine is impressive: 854 BHP @ 6000 rpm! That comes allong with 155 BHP per liter! That's high, for example: the Porsche 911 has got 144 BHP per liter.
With a weigt of only 1080 kg, the C1000 can sprint from 0 to 100 km-ph/60 mph in 3,1 seconds.
The topspeed is 374,4 (!) km-ph/234 (!) mph.

Yeah I saw that on Stevens Creek yesterday, IN THE RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg how could they let that in the rain!?. . .I remember it used to be in Los Gatos Auto Mall. Nice looking car.

AFAIK, from what was intended to be a very limited production run, only two were ever built. Not even your friend and mine, the Sultan of Brunei has one.
Lotec has been around since the early 60s (or it's founder at least, the firm itself may have been incorporated in the 80s) racing in Europe and Japan. Most recently they've tuned other manufacturer's car such as Benz and Ferrari. Their list of autos, production or not, include the aforementioned C1000 and Sirius along with the Ambassadeur, and TT1000 (bi-turbo Ferrari Testarossa with 700+hp).
