What is a Domani Civic?

Vis racing sells conversion kits, but what is a domani civic? I think it looks cool, I would do it if I owned a civic. (well, instead of some "samurai killer space age shogun warrior kit)

The Domani is a loaded-up Civic with slightly different front and rear styling treatments. The Domani includes things like leather upholstery.
I also believe the Domani is what those wacky Canadians refer to as the Acura EL.

it is not cool at all...they are called 1.6ELs over here in canada...
they are supposed to be a luxury version of the civic sedan, but there are so many riced out 1.6ELs over here...it's ridiculous...
It's probably the most riced out car here in toronto...

That's not a 1.6EL, although it's basically the same car based on a Civic.
I'm not sure where (Japan?), but there's such a thing as a Honda Domani (not a Civic). It's like the 1.6TL, but it's a Honda and the model name is Domani.

not bad i guess....never were really into civics, though it was my first ride. i have to admit though, honda's reliability never let me down.

A Domani is a Civic sedan by another name, slightly more upmarket. The Rover 45 sedan is based on an older Domani.

There are 2 versions of Japan's domestic Civic. The Civic Ferio is the same Civic sedan we have. Civic Domani is Canada's Acura EL. Different tailights, headlights, chrome grille, more features and little higher-quality interior.

It appears the Domani was not continued with the new Civic, though the EL has. The Civic Type-R is already on sale in Japan and sells for ¥2.3-2.5 million (approx US$18-20,000).

After Honda Canada's succeed with the EL, there will be a few generations coming up even without Japanese Domani.

Not a huge fan of it. If youre going to drop $2,000 into a civ-dogg, id make it fast, then worry about styling. That goes for my car too.....AshlandSi, huge props for the endyn S/C!!!

As said before, it was our Acura 1.6EL. Now it has been replaced with Acura 1.7EL. A nicer Civic with much improved interior appointments that is closer to Jetta levels.
