More than likely, those tiny turbos are good for a big TQ spike and no HP. Great for snapping rods.
You'd be safer on a GT35R at low boost than a high boost K04 any day.

You probably wouldn't... Unless you pushed it to the limit
The problem is, to make any power out of that tiny K04, you HAVE to push it, which just leads to big TQ spikes, which will kill the rods in no time flat.
I'd take the GT28/ over a K04 anyday.

well what would not be pushing it to the limit/ how many lbs of boost would i be able to run on the gt28r and how much hp do you think i could make without blowing ****.

yep, gt28rs is the disco potato.
Stage 3 = gt28r
Stage 3+ = disco potato

Not pushing the K04 to the limit... I'd say 20 PSI, but then you'd be making 10-15WHP more than with the stock turbo... Probably around ~220WHP
On the GT28R (not RS), probably same PSI you'd be doing 60 WHP more... Or you could do about 280WHP or so.

From how i've read this..a k04 is a high psi, torque spiking, rod buster. If you can make more hp at lower boost on a gt28 why would anyone bother running a k04?? That really changes my views on ever running a k04. Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, I'm relatively new to this

Small turbo turbine= fast spool= more torq, no big hp gains RATIO
bigger turbo turbine= slower spool= more hp gains less tork RATIO
BIG turbo turbine= slow spool= big hp to little torq RATIO... means more boost for more Ratio
BIG turbo + small turbo= wet dreams
