I have seen many people call their GTI's AWW. What is that? TIA.

I'm not sure if its relative to your question, but AWW is an engine code for 4cyl. 1.8t 150hp engine.

Actually, It's the first part of what you say out loud when your window falls into your door. AWW.. $hiznit. (or your when your coil pack fails)

Correct, although before AWW was the AWD engine code. The AWW refers to the 150hp 1.8T with the K03 Sport turbocharger, versus the regular K03. I think there was also the addition of some sort of variable valve timing or some such nonsense. The current engine code for MY 2002+ is AWP (180hp 1.8T).
This engine code is visibly stamped on the block, under the engine cover (I believe).
