what is the tranny code for A3 jetta?
I am buying a '96 jetta GLS, 2.0L Automatic this weekend. It has a shot tranny and I just wanted to know what the code for that tranny is. Which years will fit in a '96? I know someone who wants to sell me a '95 tranny, saying it will fit. Assuming all factory parts, Can anyone help me out here? thanks,
