On my throttle body near the wires there is a small pipe sticking out, and there is a little rubber hose that attaches to it. The rubber hose is way too big to fit over the Tbody piece, it just sits loose. Should I be taking care of this? Thanks for any help.

throttle body? you mean the tube over by the intake manifold? comes out of the exhaust manifold below it? Or something else?
edit: oh, never mind. the rubber tube. no idea.

Yeah I noticed it when I was installing the Autotech module. It's a little pipe about an inch long, and 1/4 inch diameter that is sticking out of the throttle body, pointing toward the passenger headlight. On the piece that is supposed to be attached to it, there is a round connector with a white cable going along the intake tube, an electrical connector, and a little rubber "L" pipe that is supposed to be attached to the t-body. It looks like some vacuum sensor, it hasn't been connected for months.

HaHaHa!! I thought it was going to magically fix all the problems on the car. Yeah, the upshift indicator hasn't been flashing for a while now, it's right on top of my to do list. Thanks http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Actually, that stupid switch can cause a lot of problems. The upshift indicator itself is useless of course, but that switch is part of the vacuum system, so when it falls off like that, you have a vacuum leak.

I've pondered removing mine entirely and plugging it up, but then I'd feel obligated to mod my dash instruments to have something else there.

I'm just going to find a small hose clamp or a small silicone hose in the garage, I thought it would cause a vaccum leak. Actually it is on top of my to do list.
