I am wondering what type of spark plug should I use in my 92 Passat Wagon G60? Bought the car a little while ago, but not sure when the plugs were changed.
i'd first just use a wire brush and brake cleaner and remove all the carbon and make them shine, then if the car is misfiring or something, replace them. They are meant to last a long time unless damaged. Check the ceramics they should be a reddish/brown color , white = bad. specks of aluminum = bad.
alot of peeps replace things that dont need them, cleaning plugs is a regular event imo.
wires/rotor/dizzy cap, spend your $50 on that first.

Not for a g60. They tend to run best on the factory-specified plug, which is the Bosch unit listed above.

I am big fan of stock Bosch too.
Just not anything Platinum i have had so many problems with it, Remember save the Bling Bling for your mouth!!!
Edit: I type at a 2nd grade level!!!

It's not.
they're two very different engines, and though the ngk's work excellently in the vr6 application, the stock Bosch plugs are by far the best choice for most people with the g60 engine.

*cough*the g60 forum*cough*
Granted, most of the people that hang in the g60 forum check in here too, but if you have technical g60 issues, that's definitely the place to head. Lots of very helpful people in there all the time, even if it moves a bit slow sometimes. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

PS - Be proud of your Passat! They're very cool vehicles!
