Hi a few questions from a newbie:
1. In what ways is a Skoda Octavia similar to a VW Bora? In what ways are they different? Do they really share the same parts as a lot of people claim?
2. What kind of suspension system does the Skoda Octavia use? I'm looking at buying a 1.6 Ambiente. Does it use the same rear torsion beam like the Jetta VR6 I had? Will I expect the car to handle better or worse than the Bora/Jetta I had?
3. Should I buy?

Exactly the same (I think). My shocks and springs are from a Golf IV. Go for it!

Re: What kind of suspension does the Skoda Octavia have? (TaviaRS)

hehe. thanks for the nod of approval! But besides the actual springs and shocks, I was also concerned with what kind of suspension design the Octavia uses? Multi-link? Rear Torsion Beam? What about upfront?
Thanks!

Rear is torsion beam, if thats the right description, with shocks and springs. Front is coil overs.
Where are you? UK / Europe or the States?

...unless you go for the 4x4 in which case it's totally independant at the rear with a multilink setup either side the rear diff.
