Re: What price should I pay for OEM splash guards? (mdeleo3)

With 14% tax I paid just over CAN$100 for the OEM Vortex ones. I forget the exact price - wife picked 'em up for me but they weren't over $110 anyway.
edit: sorry, that's for the GTI ones but I swear it said Golf/Jetta/Bora on the bag so they should be the same.

I think the fronts are the same but the rears are different.
I paid like 80 bucks for the set and then 1 hrs of labor for them to be installed. I wasn't about to drill holes in my NEW car.

Future reference:
Always make an item like this (or any OEM add-on under
$100 that you want on or in the vehicle) the "deal-maker/
breaker" when you purchase. Right when you're about to
sign the papers, tell your salesperson "throw in a set of
splashguards (or the mats you want or whatever) and we've
got a deal." This has worked for me on my last half-dozen
vehicles or so. NO salesperson worth their salt is gonna
blow a sale on an item that costs the dealer next to nothing...

[email protected]#m it! Why was I such a wuss!
Should have done that, esp. since they were just about ready to do anything to sell me the car.. Oh well, they did say they would give them to me at "dealer" cost(whatever that is... maybe invoice) whenever I want them.
