when I did the brakes on my mom's '99 Jetta (MK III) at 23K miles, I replaced the rotors with zimmerman slotted rotors (both http://www.germanautoparts.com and http://www.pelicanpartsexpress.com have them; pelican was a bit cheaper...) and Pagid pads. I didn't change the lines due to the mileage and condition of them and just used regular DOT 4 fluid. Works pretty good so far... http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
