What shold I use to clean a head?

My brother took the head off his 8 valve 1.8L and wants to know what he should use tho clean it with? (inside)

cold tank it at a machine shop.
Or you can try a combination of carburetor cleaner, simple green, WD-40, acetone, ethyl alcohol, CleanSafe Degreaser...
just not all at once..one at a time. And be careful with solvents..they go right to your liver.

My dad always uses diesel fuel and then pressure washer.
Works great!
