You probably saw the SVX. An interesting car, but I've heard that its better suited for some fast cruising than tackling the twisties. IIRC, that engine sound you heard was the flat-6 (think smaller Subies and Porsches) which puts out 220-230? hp. The car is pretty heavy, somewhere north of 3500, so it takes 7+ to get to 60. An interesting car, definitely, with that AWD, I think you can pick one up for relatively cheap these days.
