There are a few of those floating around, but not very many. Kind of like the occasional Cosmic Green Jetta. They are sort of a genetic anomaly from the VW factory. Either that or some Badge / Tail Light / Wheel upgrades on a Golf.

i think it is a GTI, even though it has "GOLF" GTI on it....
look at the mirror, it has a blue-ish tint to it....GOLF GL, doesnt have that.....
either this car is a total GTI want-to-be or it is the real thing...

its probobly some lucky european or some othercountry. I doubt someone with a golf would try sooooo hard to make a GTi. And someone said it says GOLF GTI, well if you look at european cars they say GOLF and GTI is an option not like here a totallyy seperate car.

You're correct. The guy is from Peru and it is a 1.8T. I sold him some suspension items back in the fall.
