OK, I really have never taken the time to figure this out or ask anyone.. I own a 95 GTI VR6, what's the tranny code once and for all? TIA i know its a stupid Q, don't bust my balls

you have a CCM tranny .....

you can also find out other stuff if you lift the lining off your trunk...on top of the fuel pump plate, theres a sticker with the info, even the paint code.

Also, it's listed right on top of the tranny, I believe on the upper half of the bellhousing near the Tstat housing. First three letters should be the tranny code.
Golf/Jetta VR6 is CCM
Corrado VR6 is CDM
Others depending on year and country of origin.
