i think it's been bumped up to t 225 for this year, to match the TT.
I think it'd take a fair bit more than just a chip to beat the m coupe in acceleration though, since it's a 3.2L I6 pumping out 315 horsies.
of course, i don't know anything, and with the cash anything can be done.
turbo upgrade would probably do it...
a modded s3 would have the m off the line though just because of quattro.

Hmm... new M Coupes are running low 13s in the 1/4 mile, and you can damn well bet that they have incredible handling, a pure 50/50 weight distro and monster brakes.
The S3 suffers from understeer, more weight, worse distribution, and smaller brakes. It would take upgrades in suspension, brakes, and DEFINATELY power to overcome the M Coupe. While both are incredibly cool cars, and I'd LOVE to have both, they'd compliment eachother well (any time I needed to carry people or drive in snow, I'd have AWD in the S3 and anytime I wanted to drive my balls off i"d have the M Coupe.)

I'd start by swapping out the 1.8T and putting a 3.2 VR6 in and tuning that to give it 350-380hp N.A. And that's just the balance out the weigh disadvantage.
