So i'm going over to my fiance's house tonight when all of a sudden this big buck comes from a field on my passenger side and jumps in front of me!! I was like "HHHOOOLLLLLYYYYYY SSSHHHHEEEEEEEETTTT!!!!!

" I slammed on the brakes as fast as I could but I still hit him. If I was there 1 second earlier this dumb bastard would've been scooped up and flung into my windshield. *note to self....don't lower next vehicle* I heard like a "dink" and got out...check out the massive carnage below

I guess Acura's are built like a tank? Um...maybe not. I'm guessing he just landed a hoof on my bumper...and OF COURSE he had the nerve to get all that mud on my car after I JUST WASHED IT!!

Just thought i'd share my brush with death. Hey don't laugh...there was a woman near here who hit a deer with her '99 Accord and the deer was hurled into the windshield...killing her!

You should see Cullen's pics (he is a moderator around here) when he took out a deer with his VW Golf Country. he had pieces of bloody fur hanging off parts of the front end

I've got a shiner on my own car like that, but not from a deer. incidentally on my way to Luckenbach (that never looks right) I had a deer run in to my car... I was doin about 30 on one of those small back country roads and he was getting ready to cross the street and hit my car from the back quarter panel. almost spun me around, it was kinda crazy

Glad you're alright but yeah that could have been real bad.I've seen the size of Texas jackrabbits in Big Bend NP so I can imagine how big Texas deer are

In case you were wondering about all my jabs at Texas.My parents are both from there.
Ever seen Planes,Trains and Automobiles?
Glad there aren't any deer in my area but there are places around here where I might have to look out for Jaguars(the animal not the car).

I've been in a deer collision (as a passenger). He tryed to come thru the windshield, thank goodness for safety glass that kept him out of my lap.

TX jackrabbits are bigger than TX deer.

My stepmom hit a 90-lb. deer in her Galant not one month after buying it. That weird-looking sideways prow front end crumpled in a way that kept the deer from coming into the windshield.

i've hit two deer before. killed both of them. one had a Nissan turn signal impaled in it's butt and the other is in the post above.

Hitting a deer is small time. Try hitting a moose. In my only collision with one, I was very grateful to be in a 4X4 Suburban. Even so, it did a good job of mangling the passenger side doors and smashing the windows (it ran into the side of the truck). Big moose too, probably around 1,200 lbs. Head-ons with moose are usually fatal.

I hit a possum once, couldn't stop crying for an hour. Hit a bird once, too. Exploded like a pillow...and I swear, that's what I thought I had hit, until I got out of my car at the time(81 jetta) and saw the carnage. I can just imagine how sick I would feel if I hit a deer. Bambi!

Ha. You got off lucky. When I hit a deer with my Jetta, it did $4000 in damage (hood, bumper cover, grille, both headlights, the front valence, the radiator, the condensor for the A/C,...)

If you think a deer is bad, try hitting one of these puppys.

They are very usual all over Scandinavia and can come strolling on to the highway when you least expect it. They get up to over 2 meters tall over teh shoulders, cows can weigh over 800 kgs and bulls as much as 1 ton.

This Saab has crashed with a moose, and the emergency team had to cut off the roof posts and doors to get the two passengers out of the wreck.
